Rav Ari Bar-Shain

Co-Director of OU Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus

Rav Ari grew up in Cleveland, OH and after graduating high school, made Aliyah and spent nearly a decade at Yeshivat Har Etzion, learning there and working as the Head Madrich of the Overseas program. During his army service, he served as a combat officer in Givati and still serves as an officer in reserve duty. He has a BA in Education from Herzog College, an MBA from Peres Academic College, and has smicha from the World Mizrachi’s Musmachim Program. For the last two years, he has directed a program supporting religious lone soldiers in the IDF with Tzalash. In his summers, he loves nothing more than engaging with Jewish young adults and has served in leadership positions in Camp Stone, Mach Hach Ba’Aretz, Moshava Alevy and All Star Israel. His hobbies include playing basketball, hiking, running, working out, eating ice cream and going to the park with his kids. Ari and his wife Noa are moving from Jerusalem with their young daughters, Talya and Maayan and are excited to work with students at Princeton University.
