Rabbi Jane Kanarek is Assistant Professor of Rabbinics at Hebrew College, where she teaches Talmud and halakhah in the Rabbinical School. An alumna of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship, she received a B.A. from Brown University, rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. During the summer, she is a co-director of the Northwoods Kollel, a full-time learning program for college students at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin.
Dr. Jeffrey B. Pomeranz was a beloved pediatrician, community leader, father, and husband known for his patience, kindness, and sharp intellect. He was deeply committed to Judaism and the idea of a democratic, pluralistic state of Israel. |

New Rosh Chodesh Group For Women
Rosh Chodesh is the celebration of the beginning of each month in the Jewish calendar. Nemayra is starting a new group for women! It's an opportunity to gather on a monthly basis & celebrate the new month in their lives as Jewish women. Activities will include discussion, learning, hanging out, and (of course) food! Open to all women of all backgrounds! All programs will take place at the CJL.
Thursday, March 6th at 6pm (Rosh Chodesh Nisan) -Join us for dinner!
Sunday, April 6th at 11am (Rosh Chodesh Iyar) - Have brunch with us!
