Krav Maga is the official self defense system of the Israel Defense Force (IDF). Head Instructor Moshe Katz, 4th Dan, will be teaching a Krav Maga session in the Martial Arts room in Dillon Gym.
All are welcome, no experience necessary!

RELIGIOUS TEXTS, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AND GENDER IDENTITY

An all-star panel of experts representing Buddist, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faith traditions speaking about how religious texts and contemporary religious scholarship are approaching sexual orientation and gender identity. Our featured speaker on Jewish faith traditions will be Rabbi Daniel Nevins, Pearl Resnick Dean of The Rabbinical School of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS). Rabbi Nevins serves on the Rabbinical Assembly's Committee on Jewish Law and Standards (CJLS) and co-authored the decision that allowed for the ordination of gay and lesbian rabbis in the Conservative movement of Judaism.
The talk will be followed by break-out sessions for each of the speakers to delve deeper into the topic and texts. Dinner will be provided.

New Rosh Chodesh Group For Women
Rosh Chodesh is the celebration of the beginning of each month in the Jewish calendar. Nemayra is starting a new group for women! It's an opportunity to gather on a monthly basis & celebrate the new month in their lives as Jewish women. Activities will include discussion, learning, hanging out, and (of course) food! Open to all women of all backgrounds! All programs will take place at the CJL.
