Come to Shabbat Dinner!

Leave your bread at home, and join us this Friday night for Shabbat dinner and services.

You know you need a break and nothing is more relaxing than a delicious Shabbat meal with friends, even if there's no chamtez to be found.

Kabbalat Shabbat Services: Yavneh: 6:45 p.m. (Mincha), Koach & Kesher: 6:30 p.m.

Shabbat Dinner at 7:30. Meals subsidized for those upperclassmen and grad students who pre- registered last week. Those upperclassmen and grad students who did not pre-register last week must pay full price. All others swipe.

Amitav Ghosh Lecture

GenizaOn Monday, April 16, 2007 at 4:30 in 101 McCormick Hall, author Amitav Ghosh will be presenting the 29th Carolyn L. Drucker '80 Memorial Lecture, titled The Making of In an Antique Land: India, Egypt, and the Cairo Geniza.

The lecture relates to his book In an Antique Land, which tells the story of a twelfth-century Jewish India trader and his Indian slave, whose records were discovered among the letters and other documents of the famous Cairo Geniza.
