Thursday night, April 9, 2009 @ 7pm Location: Lawrence 14 Community Room
A Note From Aaron Strauss, the host
JGAPers, You might not realize, but Passover is right around the corner! This year, I'm hosting a Grad Student 2nd-Night Seder in the Lawrence 14 community room. The festivities start at 7pm. As a head's up, it's very multi-cultural friendly -- non-Jews are very welcome -- with the traditional prayers and story-telling mostly in English. However, I can not do this alone. Below is a list of jobs for people if you plan on attending. If you plan on preparing or buying food, please be aware of the additional restrictions placed on food during the eight days of Passover (see below). 1) Main meat course (the CJL might help out with this, but we'd love a variety of meats) 2) Charoset (super easy) 3) Any number of (vegetarian) side dishes 4) Dessert 5) Wine 6) I'll be making Matzah Ball Soup, but if our numbers are similar to those in past years (>20), more is always appreciated So, mark your calendars, invite your friends/SOs, and please RSVP by Friday at Noon! To recap: 2nd Night Seder, Thursday April 9, 7pm, Lawrence 14 Community Room Potluck All welcome RSVP by Friday 4/3, noon, telling me what you're bringing in advance! Hope to see you there! Aaron Food info: we're going to be lax on the Ashkenazi tradition of Kitniyot -- some food may have Kitniyot, but it will be marked as such. If you bring food, just let me know ahead of time what you're bringing. Food ingredients do not have to all be marked kosher. |
